Hoi An Collection
Updated August 2026 · By the LongDenViet workshop, Ho Chi Minh City
This page is the priced catalogue behind our silk lantern craft — 58 models made at our workshop in Ho Chi Minh City, using the same hand-tied bamboo frame and stretched-fabric technique described on our silk lantern page. Where that page explains what a Hoi An silk lantern is, this one is for the moment you already know and want to see the actual shapes, sizes and prices before you order.
Prices across the collection run from 28,000 VND up to 1,800,000 VND, depending on shape, size and how the fabric is finished — plain, printed, hand-painted or embroidered. Everything below is sold both retail (single pieces, folded for your suitcase or shipped to your door) and wholesale (tiered pricing from a modest quantity — see our wholesale guide for the exact tiers). Message us on WhatsApp with the model code shown under any lantern and we quote the same day.
These are the eight bamboo-frame silhouettes the workshop makes. The counts below only include models whose name states the shape — many embroidered and hand-painted pieces are built on the same frames without naming them, so ask on WhatsApp if you want a specific shape in a specific finish.
The shape is set by how the bamboo ribs are cut and tied, not by the fabric on top — so any of the eight shapes below can, in principle, be ordered in any of the four finishes further down this page. That is also why the price ranges are so wide: a plain 10 cm piece starts the collection off, while a metre-wide hand-painted or embroidered piece sits at the top of the range.
Diameters run from 10 cm up to 100 cm. The price at each size below is the real range across every shape and finish we sell at that diameter — small pieces barely vary, larger hand-painted pieces cost noticeably more than a plain lantern the same size.
Why the range widens at larger sizes
A 10 cm lantern is plain or printed almost by default, so the range at that size is narrow. From 60 cm upward the range spans plain fabric at the low end to hand-painted or embroidered work at the high end — the diameter is the same, but the hours of hand work behind it are not.
Plain, printed, hand-painted or embroidered — the same bamboo shape, four different surfaces and four different price bands.
None of the four is a lesser choice — they suit different jobs. Plain and printed fabric are the practical picks for a large matching order (a wedding aisle, a café ceiling) where colour consistency across dozens of pieces matters more than any one lantern being unique. Hand-painted and embroidered pieces are the ones people buy as a single statement piece, or a small set for a space where each lantern is looked at closely rather than glanced past.
Two fabrics stretch over the bamboo frame in this collection. Both fold flat the same way; the difference is in the look and where each one holds up best.
Mulberry silk
Lụa tơ tằm
Woven from silkworm thread. Deeper colour, slight natural sheen, the traditional choice.
Glossy polyester
Vải phi bóng
Brighter, more reflective, and more forgiving outdoors and in humid air.

How much does a Hoi An silk lantern from this collection cost?
Across all 58 models in this collection, prices run from 28,000 VND up to 1,800,000 VND. Where you land in that range depends mostly on size and finish — a small plain or printed piece sits at the low end, a large hand-painted or embroidered piece at the high end. See the size table and the four-finish comparison above for the exact bands.
What is the difference between plain, printed, hand-painted and embroidered lanterns?
Plain fabric has no decoration at all — just the shape and the colour. Printed fabric has a floral or motif pattern printed on before assembly. Hand-painted pieces are painted individually by a person, which is why they cost more than printed fabric of the same size. Embroidered pieces have characters or motifs stitched onto the fabric by hand, giving a raised texture you can feel as well as see.
Which of the eight shapes should I choose?
Round, Garlic, Inverted Garlic, Pyramid, Diamond, Custard Apple, Umbrella, Flying Saucer are the eight shapes we make. Round and Garlic are the most recognisable silhouettes and work in almost any setting. Flying Saucer and Umbrella sit low and wide, which reads well over a table. If you are matching an existing set or a specific look, send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will match it to the closest shape and size.
What is the difference between mulberry silk and glossy polyester?
Mulberry silk: Woven from silkworm thread. Deeper colour, slight natural sheen, the traditional choice. Glossy polyester: Brighter, more reflective, and more forgiving outdoors and in humid air. Both fold flat the same way and use the same bamboo frame — the difference is entirely in the fabric.
Can I carry lanterns from this collection home in my luggage?
Yes — every lantern here uses the same folding bamboo frame described in our shipping guide. It collapses flat in seconds and reopens the same way. See our guide to folding, packing and shipping a Hoi An lantern home for exact folded weights by size and how to pack one in a suitcase.
Do you sell this collection wholesale?
Yes. All the shapes and finishes on this page are available wholesale, with tiered pricing from a modest quantity and lower per-piece cost as the order grows. Custom logo printing is available on plain and printed fabric from a small minimum order. See our wholesale guide for the full tiered pricing and how to send a spec list.
Are the model names on this page in Vietnamese?
Yes, deliberately. Each model name is the actual name used in our workshop — translating it would invent a product name that does not exist in our records. The English label above each name tells you the shape and finish; the Vietnamese name underneath is the exact model to quote when you message us.
How do I order from this page?
Tap "Ask on WhatsApp" under any lantern — it opens a message with that model's name and link already filled in. Tell us the size and quantity you want and we reply with price and shipping the same day. For a full price list across the whole collection, use the "Get a price list on WhatsApp" button below the product grid.
