Wholesale & Bulk Orders
Updated June 2026 · By the LongDenViet workshop, Ho Chi Minh City
Buying Vietnamese lanterns wholesale is the moment hotels, restaurants, event companies and wedding planners stop settling for souvenir-stall handfuls. You need fifty. You need them in matching colours. And you need them to arrive in one piece before the opening night.
We are LongDenViet, a lantern workshop founded in 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City. This guide covers everything a wholesale buyer needs to know — what we make, how tiered pricing works, how to get custom logo printing, and how to get a shipment from our bench to your door via DHL or FedEx.
Three middlemen, three markups. Going direct removes all of them.
Most wholesale lanterns that reach international buyers have passed through two or three hands — a local market seller, a trading company, an importer. Each adds a margin. By the time the lanterns reach you the price has little relationship to what the workshop actually charges.
Buying direct means you pay the workshop price. It also means you choose the shape, colour and size at source — not from a pre-made catalogue someone else compiled. If you want the round garlic lantern in dusty rose with a 40 cm diameter and your hotel logo on the fabric, that conversation happens with the people who actually make it, not someone relaying messages across a supply chain.
You can see the full range on our English-language catalogue page, or send us your spec list via WhatsApp and we will put a quote together the same day.
Eight shapes, fourteen silk colours, sizes from 10 cm to over a metre.
Our core range is bamboo-frame lanterns made with aged bamboo — three to five years old, salt-water soaked, dried and heat-treated to resist insects. The frame folds flat like an umbrella, opens in under a minute, and is light enough that international freight stays affordable even at scale.
For large outdoor installations — hotel courtyards, restaurant terraces, event structures — we also make lanterns with powder-coated iron frames. The frame itself is near-permanent; the fabric covering is replaceable when it fades.
Outdoor vs indoor
Real silk is the most beautiful fabric under artificial light but does not handle water or prolonged sun well. For anything outside, brocade or glossy fabric is the practical choice. Iron frames paired with brocade are our most popular outdoor specification.
We carry eight shapes in the standard range: garlic-bulb, round, diamond, pyramid, ribbed, umbrella, flying-saucer and hexagonal wood. All eight are available in fourteen colours and most common sizes can be mixed within a single order.
Quantity tiers, not a flat rate.
We do not publish a universal price list because the right price depends on four variables: shape, size, fabric type and quantity. What we can tell you is how the tiers work.
Lead times follow the same logic: orders under 100 pieces take roughly 5–7 days. Larger or export-focused orders run 15–20 days. If your sizes and colours are among our most popular, we often have stock and can ship faster — worth mentioning when you send your list.
How to get a quote
Send us your specification — shapes, sizes, colours, fabric preference, quantity and destination country — and we will return a full quote, usually the same business day. Use the WhatsApp number at the bottom of this page or visit our English page to send a message.
Your brand on the lantern, approved before we cut a single piece of fabric.
Hotels, restaurant groups and event companies regularly order lanterns with their logo or a bespoke pattern printed directly onto the silk or glossy fabric. The process is straightforward.
Logo lanterns are used most often at hotel entrances, restaurant ambient lighting, corporate events and branded weddings. They also make unusually distinctive packaging for premium products — a lantern with your label is a gift people keep.
We do not fabricate client stories, so we will not drop brand names here. What we will say is that the same bamboo-and-silk construction we sell to individual buyers is what goes into custom orders — the quality does not change because the quantity went up.
DHL and FedEx from Ho Chi Minh City. The fold-flat design keeps freight costs low.
We ship wholesale orders via DHL and FedEx from Ho Chi Minh City. Courier costs are paid separately from the lantern price; we will include the estimated freight in your quote once we know the destination country and total weight.
The fold-flat design is the reason international shipping is practical at all. Each lantern collapses to a flat disc a few centimetres thick. A box that holds fifty 30 cm lanterns is not large, and the total weight is a fraction of what a rigid craft item the same size would be.
Payment is by bank wire transfer (TT) or PayPal. We take a deposit before production and the balance before shipment. The exact split is stated in the quote.
Import duties
Customs duties and import taxes are the responsibility of the buyer and vary by destination country. We declare goods accurately; we do not undervalue shipments.
Five-ply cartons, free hotel delivery in Vietnam
Every wholesale order is packed in sturdy five-ply carton boxes for transit. For buyers in Vietnam ordering 50 lanterns or more, we deliver to your hotel anywhere in the city free of charge.
Five steps from first message to lanterns at your door.

A few of the handmade lanterns we supply to hotels, restaurants and event companies. Prices shown are retail — wholesale quotes are tiered by quantity, ask us.

What is the minimum order quantity for wholesale Vietnamese lanterns?
For bamboo-frame lanterns, the first wholesale tier starts at 20 pieces. Hexagonal wood-frame lanterns start at 10 pieces. Custom fabric or logo orders require a minimum of 20 pieces per design. There is no minimum for a standard retail purchase — wholesale tiers simply unlock lower per-unit pricing.
Can you print our logo on the lanterns?
Yes. Send us your artwork file (vector preferred, high-resolution PNG accepted) along with the size and placement you want. We produce a digital proof for your approval before any printing begins. A physical sample is also available on request. Minimum 20 pieces for custom fabric orders.
How do you ship lanterns internationally?
We ship via DHL and FedEx from Ho Chi Minh City. Because our lanterns fold flat, they pack efficiently and freight stays affordable even for larger orders. Courier costs are quoted separately once we know the destination country and total order weight. Typical DHL Express transit to Europe, the US or Australia is usually within about a week.
How long does a wholesale order take from payment to delivery?
Orders under 100 pieces take roughly 5–7 days in production. Larger or export-focused orders run 15–20 days. Popular sizes and colours are often held in stock and can ship faster. Add usually about a week for DHL/FedEx transit, depending on destination. We confirm the exact lead time in your quote.
Send us your shapes, sizes, colours, quantity and destination and we will return a full quote the same business day. Custom logo printing and mixed-size orders are welcome.
